About

USStockInsights explains what moved the U.S. stock market and what it actually means for an ordinary portfolio. It is part of the DailyHub Network.

What we cover

Each article takes one concrete event — a CPI release, an FOMC decision, an earnings report, a sharp move in a single large-cap name — and works through it: what the number was, what was expected, why the market reacted the way it did, and which assumptions would have to change for the reaction to reverse. We favour depth on one thing over a list of headlines.

How this site is produced

  • This site is run by two people, not a newsroom. There is no staff of writers.
  • AI tools are used for research and for drafting. Every article is checked before it goes up: each figure is traced back to its original source — company filings, exchanges, government agencies and official statistics — and those sources are linked in the article so you can check them yourself.
  • We do not write about experiences we have not had. Where an article makes a judgement call, it is written as a judgement, with the evidence beside it.
  • Prices, specifications and rules change. Each article states the date its figures were checked.
  • Found an error? Write to deh6675@gmail.com. Corrections are made on the page itself, and the page says that it was corrected.

How articles are written

  • Primary sources first. Figures come from the issuing body — the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Federal Reserve, company filings and press releases, exchange data — not from another blog. Every number carries an as-of date, and prices carry the exchange and currency.
  • Prices are verified immediately before publication. Markets move; a stale quote is worse than no quote.
  • Working examples. Where a rate or a spread matters, the article shows the arithmetic on a realistic position rather than asserting a conclusion.
  • Counter-arguments included. Every piece states what would make its reading wrong. Where the evidence is genuinely mixed, it says so instead of manufacturing confidence.

What we do not do

We do not give personalised investment advice, publish price targets, or tell anyone what to buy or sell. We are not licensed advisers, and an article written for thousands of strangers cannot know your tax situation, time horizon, or risk tolerance. See the Terms & Disclaimer page.

Corrections

Markets reporting gets things wrong sometimes, and so do we. Corrections are made openly and quickly rather than quietly. If a figure here is wrong, write to deh6675@gmail.com and say which article.
